Thanksgiving
“Our Thanksgiving day is every day. It's that surrender in gratitude with thanks, with kindness for this pattern and way of life, for which we give our thanks.” — Yogi Bhajan
Thanksgiving is a lovely holiday, but shouldn’t we be thankful everyday? Many in this world, myself included, have forgotten to be grateful on a consistent daily basis. We are abundantly blessed in each one of our lives. We may not have the most expensive car, endlessly shop the Black Friday sales or live in the most gigantic home. What we do have is each other. We have the ultimate gift of life to be thankful for.
This Thanksgiving, I decided to come home to SUPRISE my family for the first time in 6 years. Boy were they ever shocked. 😎I am blessed with a loving family full of grace, laughter, love, acceptance and most of all the love of God.
Bali is my second home, but nothing will ever replace the gift of sitting around the table with my family, having a meal, connecting and thanking God for this beautiful life.
This quote is from a lecture Yogi Bhajan delivered, in 1971,
“Our thanks to every environment where man is supposed to grow in peace and harmony, in love and in tranquility.
Our thanks to all that is graceful around us and our thanks to all that forces us to become graceful.
Our thanks to that negativity which has made us positive. Our thanks to that power to overtake us, which has given the power to love to sustain our self.
Our thanks to all those natural calamities which have given us the joy and beauty that we have crossed them.
Our thanks to all those sicknesses and weaknesses and laziness which has given the power to triumph over it and survive to chant the holy Naam.
Our thanks to all those enemies who made us strong, that we love to live, and our thanks to the Almighty Creator, who has created us to go through all this experience in the name of that Holy Name which prevails through everybody—
That cosmic power which is the instrument of our life and our dignity, that Adi Shakti of which we all are part in one brotherhood as pure beings, to that height and consciousness which holds this world.
We pray in Thy Consciousness, oh consciousness of all consciousness, to be with us and bring love, tranquility, and peace to every heart. Sat Nam.”
My prayer for you today is that you will find gratefulness in your heart each and everyday. Give Thanks: look up, look in, look forward, look around and look back. If you’re not with your family today: give them a call and let them know how thankful you are for their love.
Many Thanks 🙏
Sat Nam

Be grateful in and for this life! Gratitude is the most powerful emotion we know. Filled with positivity, this particular feeling immediately lights a smile on your face, making you feel more connected and complete. gratitude stands for happiness, simplicity, understanding and love. It helps you to see the mirrors and lessons you did not ask for. On the other hand, should you moan or resist those things, you put the emphasis on what is not there. This causes you to live in a state of shortage, further activating a negative spiral of creation. In a state of gratefulness, you do not need such defensive shields. Open your heart instead and meander at a hi- gher vibration. this state is essential for creating and receiving. A proactive stimulation of gratitude has a multiplying effect: it makes you see more and more things to be grateful for. Every evening, write a list of all those things that made you feel happy and grateful that day. Through this practice, you will accelerate gratitude and receive a flow of abundance in return.
