New Chapter
“Challenge doesn't come to small people. Great challenge comes to great people.” Yogi Bhajan. One of the sutras of the Aquarian Age is “There is a way through every block.” • 3HO Foundation
Often we let our subconscious mind tell us that we can’t do things. When I was a child, I grew up in the school of thought that can’t wasn’t a word in my vocabulary. Once childlike faith and innocence leaves us human nature allows our mind to develop limiting beliefs. All of a sudden can’t becomes a part of us holding us back from change, new beginnings and opportunities that could change the course of our life forever.
As fear begins to rule our conscious and subconscious minds we become consumed with the “world’s” definition of success. As humans we become consumed with the ideas that success is based on how much money we have in our bank accounts and how many materialistic possessions we have. We loose the nature our true selves as we were designed to be and unavoidably become anxious, emotional, fearful and limiting in our beliefs.
Why do we let fear and opinions of others control us? Human nature and society have taught us from a very young age in the western world what our lives should look like. Having a loving family, food on the table and shelter all of a sudden are not enough. We desire to have more. For example, we get a new car or new phone and we love it, however, when the next version comes out the old one no longer fulfills us. We scramble to make more money, to buy more stuff and inevitably become more stressed.
Is this our density? Honestly, I think not. We, as a human race, we designed to live in nature; communing with one another with love, kindness, gratefulness, grace and forgiveness. The world has turned the human race into greedy, bitter, unforgiving people that limit themselves creating unhappiness.
I encourage you today to open up a New Chapter; add a new chapter to your story that is not lead by greed, disappointment and limiting beliefs. You can have it all, but why does having it all have to mean having so much. Open your hearts let the spirit speak and smile at someone today. Know that everything is alright, you already are what you seek, you have enough and God is holding you safely and beautifully in his arms.
The mediation that I focused on this morning for Sadhana was:
SAT NAAM
SAT NAAM
SAT NAAM
SAT NAAM
SAT NAAM
SAT NAAM
WHA-HAY GUROO
Sat Namm translates to “Truth is my Name”
Wha-Hey Guroo translates to “Turning Light into Love”
You can do this Mantra by deeply inhaling and completely exhaling as you chant.
Start with 11min per day and work your way up to 31min.
In Kundalini Yoga, by Yogi Bhajan, we believe it takes 40 days to break a pattern and start a new one. Think of it as rebooting your computer system. I challenge you today to reboot and reconnect to the divine human intuition that we all have within us. Walk today a little lighter, less stressed, with a smile and a heart full of love.
