“First You make Habits, then Habits make You.” Yogi Bhajan

We all have habits. Habits can be healthy as well as unhealthy. To be honest a healthy habit can still be unhealthy if it becomes an addiction. Everything we do in life requires balance. Yoga creates the connection between heart and mind. Yoga does not necessarily mean a headstand or a backbend. Yoga is anything you do in life that you enjoy. Yoga literally translates to “Yoking the breath.” Therefore if you are content, happy, fulfilled and breathing you are practicing yoga.

I myself have broken addictions using the science of Kundalini. Reading the blog in its entirety will explain in great detail how the science of Kundalini breaks habits and patterns. I broke the horrible, deadly addiction of alcoholism through the practice of Kundalini. It takes time, nothing happens overnight. I was willing, able and desperate. Kundalini worked for me in breaking one of the hardest habits in the world. I’m a firm believer in the science of this practice and recommend everyone trying Kundalini at least once in their life.

We are all made differently by God. We are designed in His image. God desires us to be happy, joyous and free. I pray that whoever you are and whatever habit you are struggling with that you will heal. I know you will with the help of God and a willingness to change. You only live once.  Start Loving Living Today!

“The problems in life come from our habits. The Divine dwells in the saint, as well as in the thief. The only difference is how people act. Our actions come from our habits.

Kundalini Yoga recognizes every soul as perfect, pure and Divine at the start. There is nothing to redeem or purify at the soul level. The soul is complete and beautiful as it is. But life is based on our habits. Our habits define us to ourselves and to other people. By our habits, we live in peace and happiness. By our habits, we create misery and pain. When we change our habits, everything around us can change.

Yogi Bhajan gave us a very special technology relating to habits. Every single kriya or meditation in Kundalini Yoga changes us in very specific ways. If you practice a kriya a few times, you receive a wonderful benefit. But if you want to permanently change your habits, and realize the full effects of the kriya, this is what you can do:

Practice a particular kriya or mantra every single day for the same amount of time. Based on the number of days you do this, here is how it will affect your habits:

40 Days: Practice every day for 40 days straight. This will break any negative habits that block you from the expansion possible through the kriya or mantra.

90 Days: Practice every day for 90 days straight. This will establish a new habit in your conscious and subconscious minds based on the effect of the kriya or mantra. It will change you in a very deep way.

120 Days: Practice every day for 120 days straight. This will confirm the new habit of consciousness created by the kriya or mantra. The positive benefits of the kriya get integrated permanently into your psyche.

1000 Days: Practice every day for 1000 days straight. This will allow you to master the new habit of consciousness that the kriya or mantra has promised. No matter what the challenge, you can call on this new habit to serve you.

A habit is a subconscious chain reaction between the mind, the glandular system and the nervous system. We develop habits at a very young age. Some of them serve our highest destiny. Some of them do not. By doing a 40, 90, 120 or 1000 day special sadhana, you can rewire that chain reaction. You can develop new, deeply ingrained habits that serve your highest good.” @3hofoundation

My prayer for you today is that you will become aware of habits that need to be broken. You don’t necessarily have to practice yoga to break habits. To break habits it takes help from God and the willingness of you heart. Balance your time, break your habits and develop a healthy daily spiritual practice.

Integrating new things in your life can be tricky. It takes at least forty days to get rid of a bad habit or incorporate a new pattern. Right now, is there something in your life that you want to change, remove or introduce to your daily routine? Do you want to meditate? Ease on your planning? Move away from your computer? Every integration calls for .practice, practice comes from trial. Just do it! This card asks you to really put your money where your mouth is. Focus is essential here; multitasking often gets highly overrated. Do not spread yourself too thin, you are better off handling one thing well, then several things in halves. If your heart tells you have practiced enough, then you can test it. You do so by no longer putting any effort into it. As new things flow smoothly and effortlessly in your life, it means you have mastered them. this is what integration is all about.
