Gift

“Nature’s beauty is a gift that cultivates appreciation and gratitude”

My day today was surrounded by the word gift. This morning when I woke, I walked down to the beach just after the sun had risen. I watched in awe as the locals were swimming and the fishermen were fishing. This was a new day, a new dawn and an opportunity to be grateful. I was overtaken with joy as I watched the locals place their blessings in the sand above the beach, pray to God and then run down to jump in the warm ocean water to be with God.

I have always had a fear of the mighty ocean and the vastness of it. This ocean water of the Bali Sea is calm, inviting and had nothing to fear. As I went down to the water I found myself walking into the water. There, for the first time I was able to stand still, put my hands out, close my eyes and pray.

What was I praying for? Peace. I was not only praying for myself, but everyone I knew. As I opened my eyes one of the fisherman nearby caught a fish. I thought, God provides.

Another gift today was getting to go to Hillsong Bali. It was the first time in a very long time that I had been to church. In America, church can be hypocritical, contrived, money driven and off putting. As soon as I stepped into the House of God... I felt PEACE! A divine gift from God.

The sermon today was about planting seeds. Your life IS a seed God sees you like a seed and seeds have a potential to be a successful blessing no matter who you are. However, if a seed is not planted it is not productive and it won’t bear fruit.

Some people that have potential never grow. They start to grow, but then they get fear and stop growing. That hits home to me. Fear is a powerful mechanism of the mind. Fear, however, is not from God. Fear comes from darkness.... not the light.

When your seeds are planted your roots grow deep. No matter what season you are facing... you can defeat.

After church, I went to spend time with my friend in the hospital. She is need of the gift of love and healing, but is unaware.  She is in pain not only physically, but mentally. After spending several hours with her, I felt heavy. I felt as if there was something I could do more. As I sat at dinner, I began to think that there was.... I could send her a gift. I contacted my friend, who is a Balinese Priest to go to her, speak to her and pray a healing blessing over her. I pray that her soul can find the peace, healing and love that can only come from God.

My prayer for you today is that you keep looking up, keep praying to God and keep connected.

Peace, Light and Love to You All.

The gesture or intention of giving is more important than the gift itself. Do you remember the moment of excitement when you gave something to a loved one, knowing it was exactly what they wanted? When you received that homemade gift from a friend? Today, give someone a hug or a present. Help someone in need. Bestow it without any hidden agenda, not because you must, simply because you can. See what it does to you. You can even give some- thing without the recipient knowing that it was you. When you give or share something unconditionally, you show the universe that you do not worry about what is leaving you. There is enough energy, time and money. This mechanism is essential for abundance to come your way. Giving, sharing and receiving are inseparable. They all carry the same energy, and they all stem from gratitude. Some people find it easier to give, but are less capable of fully receiving. This card appears to investigate how this is for you. Do you find yourself worthy enough of receiving? Are you truly capable of appropriating a gift or compliment? Know that gratefulness, for whatever it is that is given to you, opens up the channel to receive more.
