Connecting with the Divine

• The mantra, Har Har Makanday, came up today in my Kundalini practice therefore giving way to even the smallest signs, which was my card later in the morning that I had drawn from the @InnerCompassCards Deck. It was a powerful moment, I had just finished 26 frog poses, as the lyrics of the song, inspired by Rumi’s quote, began to sing over the mantra.

“Take from me everything that

Takes me from you

Fill me with your love

Liberate my soul

Take from me what I want

Take from me what I do

Take from me what I need

Take from me everything”

Lyrics by Mirabai Ceiba

What does Har Har Mukanday mean?

“Har har mukanday is a Kundalini yoga mantra that liberates the yogi from whatever is blocking or holding him/her back. Har is the Sanskrit root word for Hari, one of the Hindu names for God; and hara, which means “destroyer” or “remover.” Mukanday is the liberating aspect of the Self. Therefore, in the spiritual sense, the mantra beseeches God to remove or destroy that which is preventing liberation.

Har har mukanday is also considered a mantra for bravery in that fear is removed, liberating the yogi to see challenges as opportunities and providing the freedom to follow the heart's path.”

The Frog Pose is one of these postures in Kundalini Yoga that we can find in many different Kriyas. It is a great posture to do when you feel the energy is not flowing properly in your body, or when you feel stuck in your mind. Frog Pose works on your upper thighs. The stimulation of this part of your body impacts your kidneys, it’s a part of the body where we store fear and experiences from the past. It also plays a big role in our fight/flight behavior, we need those muscles to either run away as fast as we can or defend ourselves. The hormones related to our automatic fight/flight reactions are produced by the adrenals that are situated just above your kidneys.” @kundaliniyogaschool

My belief is that when you are truly connected to the divine and open your heart the spirit will speak to you. We all have fear, we are human. Our reactions, however, say more about us than the situation or fear itself. Look within today….. I send you all peace, love and the Long Time Sun.

“Look carefully around you. there are small signs everywhere, showing you the way forward on your path. open yourself to them, with wide-eyed wonder, admiration and curiosity. the universe never works against you, but always supports you - even when it does not always feel like that. Signals are presented to you all the time. Your intuition works as a compass to recognize them. Your intuitive mind can translate seemingly random events into useful information. Information that is needed to base your next steps. Be present; your intuition works best when you have a pure awareness, un- troubled by past fears or future anxieties. If you acknowledge this principle, you will experience a deep connection with everything around you. Be open to even the tiniest of messages. they are there no matter what, the question is whether you see them or not.” @innercompasscards @tipineel
