Pause

“Develop your Intuition so that the changes in the years to come may be convenient for you.”  - Yogi Bhajan

Taking a moment to pause used to be a difficult task for me. A year ago, I wouldn’t have had time to write this blog to you — I never slowed down. I’ve learned to create boundaries for myself and boundaries with other people. These boundaries provide me the space to slow down, pause and reflect on the current moment. Being present in the current moment is a task for all of us. We have, most often, already mentally moved on to the next thing on our agenda.

I’m enjoying visiting my family, I love being in Bali and I also love California. Right now, I’m enjoying being here with my family and I will soon pick up my anchor and head to California. Friends/family ask me questions......How long are you here? What’s next for you? Where are you going to live? Etc....

Truth is, I don’t live my life that way. God has blessed me with creative talents and abilities that allow for me to live a flexible life. I was just telling my friend yesterday how awesome it was seeing God’s provision in my life. Whenever I’m in need, if I step out and take action on my end, God provides on the other.

Balancing my time has been my hardest lesson this past year.  I am an ultra creative, extrovert personality that loves to be busy all of the time. Lately, especially during my time in Bali, I learned how to manage my time. If I try to overload my schedule or accomplish too much I can’t preform the task well or enjoy the time I spend doing it. I actually learned that I enjoy being alone and telling people that I need space is ok.

Life is a journey we are all on together. Always learning, consciously growing and continually evolving.

My prayer for you today is that you will slow down, drop anchor and enjoy the moment. The holidays can be an especially busy time of year here in the Western World. Let us all be consciously mindful of the reason for this season. It’s not about parties, gifts, schedules etc.  This is time to reflect inward and give outward. The holidays can be summed up with two words - GIVE & RECIEVE. I encourage you to be IN this season, PRESENT. Anchor: look up, look in, look forward, look around and look back.

This card is an invitation to drop anchor. Intuitively you feel that something is not quite right, but you are too busy to act upon it. Now is the time to slow down and take a long, good look around. Your gaze was fixed at the horizon and the beauty of the current moment was passing you by. Realize that there is a time for everything. Here and now is the perfect moment to breath deep and ground yourself. You do not always need to be so busy with the next step. If you dare to wait, the right moment for action will present itself naturally. Just stand still, look around and observe the situation as it is. Know that it is safe here. Discover all the beauty that surrounds you. Then use the anchor as a grounding cord. Visualize how it is dropping from your sacrum to the core of the earth. Feel that you are here, present in your body with all your energy and attention. It is easier to stay focused when you are grounded, and this helps to anticipate the things that are happening around you. You will feel more stable and in charge. Before long, you feel the right moment is there, you can press ahead again. Your ambitious plans are not going anywhere, rest will only feed the fire. When the course is clear, you set sail again.
